Sharing Solar Water Heating and PV Knowledge with the Public
May 23, 2011 – Yardley, PA – Times Publishing Newspapers, Inc., a family of newspapers serving Yardley, Newtown, Morrisville, Doylestown, Northampton, Langhorne, Southampton, and New Hope, Pennsylvania, will be starting a new column in their June 2011 edition. Mark Bortman, the owner of Exact Solar (www.exactsolar.com), a leading designer and installer of solar energy systems in the Bucks County, PA area, will be penning the column about the solar energy industry. Mr. Bortman brings more than five years of industry experience and many years of writing experience to the table. His writings have been featured in many other publications including the Bucks County Courier Times, The Winchester Star, The Daily Pennsylvanian and The Red and Black as well as many on-line publications.
“I am very excited about this opportunity” commented Mr. Bortman. “My column will help people understand how solar electricity and solar water heating can reduce utility bills while helping the environment. It is really a win-win for everyone. This will be a chance to educate the community not just about solar technology, but also about energy efficiency and other important factors that all come together to help us live in a sustainable fashion.”
Times Publishing has included a “Going Green” section for quite some time. Bob Shegda, a key staff member at Times Publishing, has said that this is an important area in which readers have shown a tremendous interest. Times Publishing believes that a column on solar energy that gives information about the government incentives, grants, solar renewable energy credits (SREC) and other aspects of energy efficiency will be a great service to their customers.
