Each year, Exact Solar proudly participates in the ASES National Solar Tour, organized by the American Solar Energy Society. The ASES National Solar Tour is now in its 28th year, and Exact Solar is excited to continue our tradition of hosting a local solar tour for our customers.
Over the years, solar power has transformed from expensive water heating and basic electric systems to an affordable, comprehensive solution for home energy needs. As the solar industry experiences remarkable growth, enthusiastic homeowners who have gone solar play a crucial role in spreading the word. That’s where you come in.
If you’ve gone solar with Exact Solar, we invite you to consider hosting a tour!
Solar Tours are essentially open houses where homeowners showcase their solar systems and answer questions from those considering making the switch to solar energy. Here’s how it works for our customers:
- In-Person Tours: We will market your tour, post it on the ASES website, and prepare you for the event. People interested in attending will be able to see the date, time, and location of your tour online and will visit your home to learn more about your solar setup.
- Virtual Tours: We will schedule a professional photographer to capture high-quality photos or videos of your system. If you opt for a video tour, it will include an edited tour video with an interview featuring you.
We make the process as simple as possible so you can effortlessly share your solar experience with others. As an example, those who opt for a virtual video tour can expect professional videos like the ones below:

As a special incentive this year, for each homeowner who participates in the tour, we’ll make a $25 donation to Twende Solar, a nonprofit dedicated to providing solar energy to communities with limited access to electricity.
More About the American Solar Energy Society
ASES was established in 1954, the same year the first practical solar cell was invented. They’ve been here since the beginning when a group of enterprising people saw that we could produce power from the sun and thought: “Huh, we should probably do something with this.”

Exact Solar has also collaborated with ASES as part of our mission to get the word out about updating the AEPS, Pennsylvania’s outdated energy standard that needs to be updated in the state legislature. We have recently published a piece in ASES’s industry magazine, Solar Today, to raise awareness of this issue and keep Pennsylvania’s status as an energy leader intact.
Exact Solar has collaborated with ASES to advocate for updating Pennsylvania’s outdated Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards (AEPS). As part of our mission, we’ve published an article in ASES’s industry magazine, Solar Today, to raise awareness about this crucial issue and help maintain Pennsylvania’s status as an energy leader.
ASES does far more than host the Solar Tour. Each year, they host a Solar Conference in Colorado that educates industry professionals on emerging technologies in the industry. They’re also currently building a donated solar system on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. They also lobby legislators and work hard to ensure renewable energy gets fair representation when it’s time to vote.
