Exact Solar is incredibly honored to announce that we were among the 13 recipients of the Pennsylvania Solar Center’s Lodestar Award.
This award, presented at Yards Brewing Company on September 26th, 2024, recognized organizations using solar technology to lead the charge toward a sustainable, clean energy future in Pennsylvania.
For Exact Solar, this recognition was a testament to our commitment to promoting renewable energy across the state, and we are deeply grateful to be celebrated alongside esteemed organizations and individuals like:
- University of Pennsylvania
- State Representative Elizabeth Fiedler
- ASPIRA Bilingual Charter Cyber School
“We are honored to receive the Lodestar Award from the PA Solar Center. At Exact Solar, we are committed to helping homeowners and businesses achieve energy independence in a way that’s both affordable and sustainable. We’re grateful to be part of this important movement and are dedicated to expanding the benefits of solar energy to more Pennsylvanians. Thank you to the PA Solar Center for recognizing our efforts and sharing our vision of a greener future.”
– Alyssa Morley, Marketing Manager at Exact Solar
The Lodestar Award recognizes Pennsylvania organizations and individuals at the forefront of investing in clean, renewable solar energy.
One of the standout projects that helped Exact Solar earn this recognition was the solar installation we recently completed at ASPIRA Bilingual Cyber Charter School in North Philadelphia.
This project helped the school further its mission of educating students about sustainability while addressing food insecurity within their community.
Our Work at ASPIRA
Earlier this year, we worked with ASPIRA to install a solar system on their 35-acre campus that powers a remodeled hydroponic greenhouse.
Their urban agriculture initiative is part of a broader effort to provide students with hands-on STEM education and to combat food insecurity in an area classified as a “food desert.”

The Pennsylvania Solar Center’s Lodestar Award
Receiving the Lodestar Award feels especially rewarding because it reflects our broader mission at Exact Solar: to use the power of renewable energy in ways that go beyond simply reducing electricity bills.
We believe solar energy can and should be a tool for education, community empowerment, and environmental stewardship. By supporting projects like ASPIRA’s solar-powered greenhouse and Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia’s Coletrane Commons housing development, we bring that vision to life year after year.
The Pennsylvania Solar Center’s recognition of Exact Solar validates our entire team’s hard work and dedication. Being included among these prestigious awardees reinforces that solar energy is impacting communities across Pennsylvania.
Looking Ahead: More Projects on the Horizon
At Exact Solar, our work is far from over. Our projects with ASPIRA and Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia are only a few of the many fulfilling projects we’ve completed in our two decades of operation.
The future is bright, and we’re excited to continue working with schools, non-profits, homeowners, and local businesses to explore new ways of integrating solar energy into educational programs and community initiatives.
The passing of Representative Elizabeth Fiedler’s Solar for Schools grant in Pennsylvania and the opportunities presented by the Inflation Reduction Act have opened new doors for projects like ASPIRA’s to receive previously inaccessible funding.
We are eager to help more organizations navigate the solar process and build clean energy systems that benefit our communities in ways far beyond simply generating electricity.
Gratitude and Commitment
We extend our deepest thanks to the Pennsylvania Solar Center for this award. It is a reminder that renewable energy has the power to change lives. We are grateful to have played a role in the solar journey of so many and we look forward to helping others within our community embrace the benefits of clean energy.
