ASPIRA Bilingual Cyber Charter School

Daniel Pompile, Director of Culinary and Environmental Education, shares ASPIRA’s journey to solar and how their new system powers an aquaponic growing operation in a restored campus greenhouse.

This project increases equity in STEM education by offering students hands-on experience with sustainable urban agriculture. Installed by Exact Solar, with panels donated by ECA, the solar system powers a year-round growing operation that produces as much food as four acres of farmland. Students not only grow and harvest the produce but also serve it in ASPIRA’s café and sell it at local farmer’s markets—gaining valuable skills in sustainable entrepreneurship.
